Graduation
Like every high school, we strive to help our students prepare for the next level of education—college or university.
We are proud to say that in June, 2010, 45% of our graduating seniors were awarded one or more college scholarships, totaling $8.7 million. This is a credit to our students themselves, to the parents and teachers, and to our excellent guidance counselors who encourage our students to achieve.
In the past five years, 98% of our graduating class have been accepted into colleges and universities such as the following:

In addition, many of our graduates chose to attend the many branches of the State University of New York, such as Binghamton, Buffalo, Albany, Maritime and Stony Brook, all of which offer a quality education at affordable price.
Many of our students chose to attend local private colleges, such as Fordham, St. John’s, Manhattan, Marymount, College of New Rochelle, Pace, Mt. St. Vincent and Iona and many chose to pursue their educational in the City University system, either in two-year or four-year programs.
We are proud of our college acceptance record—and our graduates come back to tell us how Scanlan High School prepared them for the next level of education.
